Before you start booking hotels and rental cars, make sure you know just how much of a vacation you can afford. Determine how you'd like to spend your money by making a list of priorities (nice hotel, attractions, activities, eating out, and so on), and then allocate how much you'd like to spend in each category.
Heading south to a nice, warm beach is always a great option. However, if you want to stay closer to home or just want to try something different, consider other vacation destinations like New York City, Atlantic City, Washington, D.C., or even Niagara Falls. You may even decide to find a cabin out in the middle of nowhere for a few days of sleep, reading, and quiet.
You may not want to make all your travel decisions before you leave, but you at least need to get the "big ones" out of the way. Make sure you have your accommodations booked and that you've reserved your flights and/or your car rental. Because spring break is a popular travel season, the earlier you make reservations, the better.
To make your vacation budget stretch further, always look for special offers or coupons on hotels, flights, car rentals, and even attractions. You never know what you can find and how much money you can save by just spending a few minutes online.
When you're ready to find an affordable car, minivan, or SUV for your trip, contact Value Van at (908) 851-9595, or book online anytime. We'd be glad to tell you all about our current rental specials and policies and help you find a rental car that works for you.
