Visiting Liberty State Park and The Liberty Science Center

Located in northern New Jersey, Liberty State Park is a great area to visit during any family vacation. It is one of the state’s most breathtaking parks with a view of the Manhattan skyline, Statue of Liberty, and Ellis Island in the background. It is also home to the historic Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal, as well as the Liberty Science Center.

The Liberty Science Center

The Liberty Science Center brings science to life in all of its seven museum exhibition halls, 3D theater, IMAX Theater, and the tornado and hurricane wind simulators. You can enjoy the 300,000 square feet of fun with the whole family. Don’t worry about finding a spot to park; there is plenty of parking available for your rental car.

Many pack their binoculars in their bag for a chance to spot many species of birds in the area. Boating, kayaking, and even fishing can be found here too.

Along with fishing at Liberty State Park, you can also try your hand at crabbing. Common species of fish and crabs you may find include bluefish, shad, striped bass, and blue claw crabs. For more information be sure to contact the park office.
