Visitors can also enjoy a peaceful walk through the woods on one of the garden’s many woodland paths. The garden is open daily from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.

Ringwood Manor: Witness New Jersey’s rich iron production history by taking a tour of one of the area’s most treasured historic landmarks, Ringwood Manor. Tours of this over 200-year-old mansion are available Wednesday through Sunday between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Shepherd Lake Recreation Area: Family-friendly outdoor activities at Shepherd Lake Recreation Area include boating, canoeing, and fishing. Hiking trails surround the spring-fed lake and provide great opportunities for wildlife and nature viewing.

Ringwood State Park is open daily from 8 a.m. until 6 p.m. The park’s office is open daily from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m.

There are no entrance fees for Ringwood State Park, but admission does vary depending on which activity you wish to enjoy.

Shepherd Lake Recreation Area (per vehicle): $5 for New Jersey residents on weekdays ($10 for non-residents), and $10 for New Jersey residents on weekends ($20 for non-residents)
