Dolphin Watching in New Jersey

Summer time is the time of year where dolphins are traveling through the ocean in herds. You may have heard of dolphin watching being popular in Alaska, California and Oregon but did you know New Jersey is also a great place for it.

Dolphin Watching Trip: The Atlantic Star’s crew will position boats in the best place for dolphin viewing. You’ll hear from a marine biologist and educator on your trip. Also on the trip, you’ll be show sea birds, sea turtles, and other wildlife and historic places. Your boat will leave the dock at 9:30 a.m. and return around 11:00 a.m. Adults are $28.00, juniors ages 6-12 are $20.00, and children under 6 are free with a paid adult.

Whale and Dolphin Watching Trip: One of the best ways to see whales and dolphins this time of year. You and your family will depart the dock at 9:30 a.m. and return around 12:00 p.m. Atlantic Star Marine offer a weekend special given on both Saturday and Sunday from mid-June through Labor Day weekend.

Sunset Buffet Dolphin Watching Cruise: Unlike the other trips, this cruise begins later in the evening. You’ll depart at 6:30 p.m. and return around 9:15 p.m. On your cruise, you’ll experience true relaxation on the Atlantic Star.

Along with beautiful sunsets and picturesque dolphin pods, you’ll get to enjoy the chef’s buffet aboard the Atlantic Star. Sample assorted wraps, peel and eat shrimp, and mini tacos as the appetizers. Next you can try one of their special salads followed by a delicious entrée of seafood alredo, batter fried fish, pepper steak, or pork and sauerkraut.

Not only are these trips fun, they are educational as well! This is a great activity for Boy Scout Groups and class fieldtrips.
