Get There Early
Professional sporting events are popular, especially if you're heading to the game on a Friday or Saturday night. We recommend you get to the arena at least an hour before the puck drops to make sure you're able to avoid traffic and long lines. Once you've found your seat and secured your snacks, you can check out the pre-game skate and warmup that you rarely get to see on TV.
Concessions

How Long Is the Game?
NHL games consist of three, 20-minute periods. The first two periods have 20 minute intermissions in between. Also, each team gets two timeouts during the course of the game. If a game doesn't go into overtime, it usually lasts around two hours and 15 minutes. However, keep in mind that because of the lower scoring that comes with hockey, the chances of going into overtime is higher, so plan accordingly.
